unity with all things
Twenty years ago if someone said they were on an inner journey they would probably have been looked at by most people as being a sandwich short of a picnic. However, in the last few decades there has been an enormous shift in the human consciousness towards a way of living that is more in tune with a personal discovery of who we are within more than letting others know who we pretend to be externally.
The recognition that it is our inner life that will bring us joy, happiness and contentment and give us the peace and belongingness that we, as humans, seem to yearn for is in stark contrast to a way of living where the inanimate material objects that are collected through life are seemingly endowed with the ability to bring fulfilment and purpose.
In realising that true joy and fulfilment is within each and every one of us, we acknowledge a unity with that around us, both seen and unseen. We say with our daily thoughts, feelings and actions that we are at one with all that has created us and that we have created in turn; for the creator is the created and the created is also the creator.
In honouring and respecting all we honour and respect ourselves and the role we personally play in the big scheme of things. Each of us has an integral part to fill in the make up of the world and when we live our lives honouring ourselves, others and our talents we fulfil that role and in turn find fulfilment ourselves.
Not until we are lost do we begin to understand ourselves ~Henry David Thoreau
There is nothing like returning to a place that remains unchanged to find the ways in which you yourself have altered~Nelson Mandela
